On September 13, 2024, marking a new chapter in the cooperation between Grove Hydrogen Energy Technology Group and Guazhou County, Gansu Province, the Guazhou Wind Solar Hydrogen Storage Vehicle Integration Demonstration Project (Phase 1 10MW/80MWh) was officially launched in Liugou Coal Chemical Industry Park. This project is not only Grove's active response to the national "dual carbon" strategy, but also a key step on the road to upgrading the new energy industry in Guazhou County. It aims to inject strong new impetus into the development of Guazhou's industrial economy with green hydrogen energy as the core driving force.
Grove Chairman Hao Yiguo provided a detailed introduction to the first phase plan of the project, which focuses on building a 10MW hydrogen fuel cell power generation system and supporting the construction of hydrogen storage facilities that meet 8-hour power generation needs, as well as a set of electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment with a capacity of 11000 standard cubic meters per hour. This layout is expected to produce up to 5000 tons of hydrogen annually, which can not only support the stable operation of hydrogen storage systems, but also meet the hydrogen energy demand of about 200 hydrogen heavy-duty trucks, demonstrating Grove's profound strength in hydrogen industry chain integration and technological innovation.
The launch of the first phase of the Grove Guazhou Wind Solar Hydrogen Storage Vehicle Integration Project (with a total scale of 210MW/1680MWh), with a total investment of up to 2.5 billion yuan, indicates that Guazhou is accelerating towards the forefront of the hydrogen energy industry. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of June 2025, and will become a benchmark for the development of the hydrogen energy industry in Jiuquan and even Gansu Province, promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial practice, promoting the coordinated progress of the hydrogen energy industry ecology, and opening up new paths for the economic transformation and green development of Guazhou and even the wider region.
