On September 14, 2024, Inner Mongolia Huadian Group announced the launch of its major thermal power flexibility transformation and new energy construction project in Chayouzhong Banner, with a total installed capacity of 278,000 kilowatts and a total investment scale of up to 1.2 billion yuan. The project cleverly integrates two clean energy technologies, wind power and photovoltaics, of which wind power accounts for 188,000 kilowatts and photovoltaic contributes 90,000 kilowatts of power generation capacity.

The project is located at the junction of Tuchengzi Township and Tieshagai Township in Chayouzhong Banner, aiming to accelerate the transformation of the local industrial structure to green and low-carbon through this innovative energy layout.

With the smooth construction and final commissioning of the project, it is expected to significantly improve the overall acceptance and utilization efficiency of new energy power, open up a new path for the large-scale development and efficient application of new energy resources, and further promote the optimization and upgrading of the energy structure.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
