On June 11, 2025, at the SNEC International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Exhibition, Honeycomb Energy officially released the FlexPod modular energy storage system to the world with the theme of "Stacking and Creating Chips, Storing Energy for the Future". This innovative product marks a new stage in the development of honeycomb energy storage technology.

As the latest member of the Honeycomb Energy Short Knife System family, the FlexPod modular energy storage system has achieved a major breakthrough in energy storage system design by integrating three core technologies: short knife stacked cells, CTR design, and system compartment stacking. The system has achieved an energy storage capacity of 9MWh within the footprint of a standard 20 foot container, and the product has unlimited expansion capability, which can be expanded to different power ranges such as 12MWh, 15MWh, 18MWh according to customer needs. The structural strength of the system has been increased by 30%, and the number of system components has been reduced by 36%, demonstrating the outstanding strength of Honeycomb Energy in product innovation.

The modular design of the FlexPod system effectively solves the overweight problem of 6+MWh energy storage systems in overseas transportation, saving 13% of transportation costs. The footprint is reduced by 20% compared to traditional solutions, significantly improving space utilization efficiency. Adopting the decoupling concept, the DC compartment and AC compartment are designed separately, combined with the innovative layout of maintenance free upper battery compartment, which not only solves the problem of double-layer container operation and maintenance, but also significantly optimizes costs. This "plug and play" design enables it to quickly adapt to various application scenarios such as industrial and commercial energy storage, power grid peak and frequency regulation, and renewable energy matching.

In terms of performance, the FlexPod system based on 370/770Ah thermal composite short blade cells adopts advanced double-sided liquid cooling technology, with more precise temperature difference control and a system lifespan that is more than 15% longer than traditional products. Cooperating with the independently developed "Bee Cloud" big data platform, the full process digital management from real-time monitoring to intelligent operation and maintenance has been achieved, creating greater value for customers.
