Recently, a container train loaded with KD parts (assembled parts) of FAW commercial vehicles departed from the Xinglong Railway Port in Changchun and took the Changchun Dalian sea rail foreign trade intermodal train. After 8 hours, it successfully arrived at Dalian Railway Center Station. The successful operation of this train will comprehensively store energy for the development of foreign trade enterprises in our province, accelerate the construction of external channels, actively promote regional cooperation, and build a new highland for opening up to the outside world.

The KD pieces of commodity vehicles transported by the Changchun Dalian foreign trade intermodal train were packed at the Xinglong Railway Port in Changchun, and after arriving in Dalian, they were loaded onto the ship at the Dalian Port Container Terminal. It is worth mentioning that the transportation of goods has shifted from road transportation to railway transportation, greatly reducing freight time, comprehensively improving turnover efficiency, effectively ensuring freight safety, greatly enhancing product market competitiveness, and reducing costs and increasing efficiency for foreign trade enterprises in our province.

As a regional logistics hub, Changchun International Land Port has developed channel construction since its establishment, successfully creating an efficient and convenient logistics transportation network covering Northeast China, connecting the whole country, and radiating overseas. In 2024, Changchun International Land Port, Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Liaogang Group jointly established a provincial-level logistics cooperation platform to jointly build the core area of inland opening in Jilin Province. Together with Liaogang, they launched a single unit service product for rail sea intermodal transportation. Based on customer shipping needs and ocean shipping schedules, stable shipments of "every other day" and "every day" were gradually achieved between Changchun and Dalian Port.

The "Tiantian Class" takes Changchun Xinglong Railway Port as the starting point, leverages the advantages of the terminal and yard resources, achieves the goal of "two ports like one port", realizes "entering the port as soon as entering the zone", and saves customs clearance efficiency. Enterprises can timely access and implement comprehensive logistics information and services for sea rail intermodal transportation, sea freight booking, and China Europe freight trains online. The operating routes cover Japan, South Korea, Europe, America, Southeast Asia, etc., and have initially formed an integrated development pattern of "transportation+logistics+industry" for transportation, production, and trade, gradually achieving "two-way travel".

With the continuous improvement of channel construction and the deepening of cooperation, the level of opening up of Changchun International Land Port to the outside world has been significantly enhanced. In 2024, the sea rail intermodal freight transportation volume towards Liaogang reached over 31000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 37%, mainly consisting of automotive parts and industrial products. In the future, Changchun International Land Port will promote the continuous and stable operation of branded trains between Changchun and Dalian Port, effectively increase the freight volume of Changchun International Land Port, innovate new modes of sea rail intermodal transportation for foreign trade export goods, smooth the transportation channels for customer product exports, reduce the social logistics costs of our province's foreign trade export enterprises, inject new vitality into the economic and trade exchanges between Changchun and Dalian, and continue to contribute to the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era.Editor/XuNing
