On February 20, the Israeli Kkaf Hayaden Pumped Storage Power Plant Project, undertaken by China Power Construction, obtained the project handover certificate issued by the owner, and also obtained the power production license issued by the government, marking the official handover of the project and its commercial operation.
The Kkaf Hayaden Pumped Storage Power Plant is a national key project in Israel. It is located in the Kilipo Mountains in northeastern Israel and is close to the lower reaches of the Jordan Valley. It is China Power Construction's first EPC hydropower project in the high-end market of developed countries and the first pumped storage power plant project undertaken by Chinese companies overseas.
The project is constructed using the EPC general contract contract model. China Power Construction, as the leader of the consortium, is responsible for the design, supply, construction, mechanical and electrical installation and handover of civil engineering, pressure steel pipes and some auxiliary systems.
The total installed capacity of the power station is 344 megawatts, the upper and lower reservoir capacity is 3.1 million cubic meters, and the rated head of the power station is 410 meters. A total of two reversible pumped storage units with a single unit capacity of 172,000 kilowatts are installed. After completion and operation, it will play an important role in ensuring the safe and stable operation of Israel's power grid.(This article is from the official website of Seetao.com, www.seetao.com.
