On March 11, 2025, Nu Energy and Investment, a leading renewable energy company in Montenegro, and Cospowers Technology, a Chinese energy storage technology giant, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Changde, China. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation on battery energy storage systems (BESS) for solar projects in the Western Balkans. According to the memorandum of understanding, Nu Energy will adopt Cospowers' cutting-edge energy storage technology to drive the achievement of the 500 MW renewable energy installation target and provide all-weather clean energy supply to the Balkan region. This cooperation marks a milestone step for China and Montenegro in the field of green energy transformation.
This collaboration is not only a fusion of technology and vision, but also a core driving force for accelerating decarbonization in the Western Balkans, "said Erkut Alkaya, CEO of Nu Energy, at the signing ceremony. Cospowers CEO Shan Hui emphasized, "Through collaborative innovation, we are committed to promoting sustainable energy solutions globally." In addition to the EPC cooperation, the two sides also plan to jointly conduct feasibility studies and pilot projects to further explore the cutting-edge applications of renewable energy technologies. With the recent announcement of the 240 MWh energy storage tender plan by EPCG, the state-owned power company of Montenegro, the Western Balkans are gradually becoming a new focus of the European clean energy landscape. In the future, the collaboration between Nu Energy and Cospowers may set a benchmark for global energy transformation.(This article is from the official website of Jian Dao www.seetao.com.
