At around 10:00 on March 19, a freight train bound for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, departed from Fangshan District, Beijing, marking the official opening of the first freight train to Central Asia from Beijing.
The train, with 90 standard containers, is loaded with goods such as auto parts and pharmaceuticals from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It left from the dedicated line of the Liulihe business network of the Beijing Railway Logistics Center of the China Railway Beijing Bureau. It will exit China through the Horgos Port and is expected to arrive in Tashkent in about 14 days, covering a journey of more than 5,000 kilometers.
The operation of the freight train to Central Asia has added a new fulcrum for Beijing's integration into the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Convenient customs clearance services and meticulous transportation organization are the keys to the stable and long-term operation of international freight trains. In order to ensure the safe and efficient customs clearance of the freight train, Fengtai Customs, affiliated to Beijing Customs, has actively promoted convenient measures such as appointment-based customs clearance and advance declaration. A special team has been established to provide one-on-one guidance to enterprises, facilitating the direct and rapid enjoyment of policies beneficial to enterprises, and improving the smoothness of customs clearance. The China Railway Beijing Bureau has assigned professional and technical personnel to strengthen on-site business guidance to ensure the orderly connection and efficient operation of all links, including the submission of the international railway transport plan, the application for the operation of the freight train, and the allocation of empty car resources, providing transportation support for the operation of the freight train.
The operation of this freight train to Central Asia has enhanced the regional international land transportation capacity, further opened up the domestic and international logistics corridors, injected strong impetus for better enabling enterprises to "go global", and played a positive role in promoting a higher level of opening up of the capital city.(This article is from the official website of Seetao.com, www.seetao.com.
