The first "Lancang-Mekong Express Line +" China-Laos-Thailand-Cambodia international multimodal transport freight train arrived in Vientiane, Laos at around 21:00 on the 29th. This marks the connection between the China-Laos Railway and Laos, Thailand and Cambodia, realizing the transformation from "point-like radiation" to "connecting lines to form a network".

On March 28, the first "Lancang-Mekong Express Line +" China-Laos-Thailand-Cambodia international multimodal transport freight train, jointly organized and dispatched by the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, Yunnan International Block Train Service Trade Co., Ltd., Kunming Comprehensive Bonded Zone and other units, departed from the Kunming Central Station of China Railway United Container Transportation Co., Ltd. and headed for Vientiane, Laos.

This train was fully loaded with 32 containers, and most of the goods were vegetables produced in Yunnan destined for Thailand. Among them, the goods in one container were textile yarns from Shaoxing, Zhejiang, weighing about 23 tons and valued at about 910,000 yuan. After reaching Vientiane, this container will be transshipped by truck to an industrial park in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is expected to take 6 days from the departure in Zhejiang to the receipt of the goods by the customer in Cambodia, which is half the time compared with traditional maritime transportation. The operation of this train has opened up a brand-new international freight channel from China to Cambodia, created a new route, expanded the radiation scope of the "Lancang-Mekong Express Line +", and is a concrete practice of accelerating the construction of a modern logistics system and building a southbound international land-sea corridor under the Belt and Road Initiative.

It is reported that this batch of yarns from Shaoxing arrived at the Kunming Comprehensive Bonded Zone for assembly and arrival via land transportation. Yunnan International Block Train Service Trade Co., Ltd. actively innovated and integrated the transportation process, customized a transportation plan for the enterprise, assigned special personnel to follow up on each link, and coordinated all parties to jointly ensure the efficient and smooth transportation. It only took about a week from docking with the cargo owner to the official dispatch.
