On April 6, 2025, Chint New Energy officially signed an agreement with the government of Türkiye to invest in the construction of solar cell manufacturing plants in the country. Dr. Lachuan, President of Chint New Energy, met with President Erdogan of Türkiye in Ankara and confirmed that the project will be promoted as a key project of Türkiye's "HIT-30 High tech Incentive Plan".

The factory will adopt advanced TOPCon battery technology and plans to export 80% of its products. This is another major investment of Chinese enterprises in Türkiye after BYD's electric vehicle project, and also makes Chint Xinneng the only solar cell manufacturer in Türkiye that is wholly owned by foreign investors. When the project is completed, it will form a complete industrial chain with Chint's existing component factories in Türkiye, significantly improving the competitiveness of Türkiye's renewable energy industry.

As part of the "HIT-30 Plan", the project will not only bring advanced manufacturing technology, but also cultivate local new energy talents through school enterprise cooperation. The Turkish government said that such high-tech projects will help Türkiye achieve its energy transformation goals and create a large number of jobs. Chint New Energy said that its Türkiye base will become an important fulcrum of its globalization strategy, helping China's photovoltaic technology go global.

Industry insiders pointed out that this investment highlights the strategic vision of Chinese new energy enterprises in the global industrial chain layout, and also reflects Türkiye's important position as a Eurasian energy hub. The project is expected to drive the development of local supporting industries and set a new benchmark for China Turkey economic and trade cooperation.
