On July 7, 2025, the first integrated demonstration project of perovskite solar energy storage and charging in the Greater Bay Area, the "Yudian Supercharging" station, was successfully connected to the grid and officially put into operation in Pingshan, Shenzhen. Jidian Solar and Shenzhen Phenomenon Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. jointly took charge of the perovskite components and facade photovoltaic parts, promoting the demonstration and application of new photovoltaic technology.

The total area of the project is about 4000 square meters, and the first phase of the distributed photovoltaic installed capacity on the roof reaches 76.68kWp. Among them, the 45kWp adopts the mainstream high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon module TOPCon, while the 31.68kWp applies the leading 0.72 ㎡ perovskite module of Extreme Electric Light Energy. The comprehensive implementation of this project has successfully built a new energy demonstration benchmark that integrates "cutting-edge technology demonstration, new material application, smart energy management, and deep industry integration".

Dual technology route fusion testing shows that the performance of perovskite components far exceeds expectations

The high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon TOPCon installed capacity of this project is 45kWp, and the perovskite installed capacity is 31.68kWp. On June 10, 2025, which is a relatively sunny day, it was found that the maximum power of monocrystalline silicon was 44.011 kW, reaching 97.80% of TOPCon's installed capacity; The maximum power of perovskite is 33.001 kW, which reaches 104.17% of the installed capacity (6.37% more than the same monocrystalline silicon single kW), bringing great surprises. It often exceeds the installed capacity, and the system efficiency reaches 100% for a long time, breaking the operating concept of conventional photovoltaic modules.

The parameters of this project provide valuable data and reference for the design and operation of subsequent perovskite projects in the Greater Bay Area and even nationwide, reflecting the superiority of the perovskite technology route in terms of operating power and system efficiency PR.

Empirical data confirms that perovskite exhibits superior weak light performance

According to actual operational data, although single crystal silicon TOPCon modules have been superior to single crystal silicon PERC in weak light and temperature coefficient, perovskite modules exhibit higher unit installed power generation and longer equivalent power generation time under the same environmental conditions.

Especially from June 10th to 30th, the equivalent hours of perovskite modules were significantly better than TOPCon (about 6% -14%), further confirming their excellent weak light power generation capability and demonstrating their potential for application in complex climates.

Deepen cooperation and promote the application of new energy technologies through open ecology

The successful cooperation of this project not only verifies the feasibility and enormous potential of extreme electric perovskite modules in real power plant environments, but also accumulates valuable engineering experience for the second phase of the project (integrated carport and facade photovoltaic construction). In the future, Jidian Solar will further deepen cooperation with Phenomena Photovoltaic, focusing on the research and application of perovskite mass-produced components, with a focus on joint research and development of key functional materials such as SAM, to jointly explore innovative application scenarios of perovskite materials in a wider range of new energy fields.
