On May 29, the largest single photovoltaic project in Egypt contracted by China Energy Construction Co., Ltd., Kang Weng Bo 500 MW Photovoltaic Power Station, completed all construction work, obtained the PAC certificate issued by the owner, and officially handed over to production.

The project is located in the desert area near Kang Ombo Town, Aswan City, southern Egypt, covering an area of about 10 square kilometers, with an installed DC capacity of 560 MW in the photovoltaic field area, a total installation of more than 1 million photovoltaic panels, and a supporting construction of 1 220 kV booster station. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to provide clean electricity to 256,000 Egyptian households every year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 760 tons, and help Egypt achieve the green development goal of "Vision 2030". At the same time, it provides a replicable Chinese plan for Africa's new energy transition, and contributes to the "Chinese power" of global sustainable development with practical actions.

In the future, China Energy Construction will give full play to the advantages of the whole industry chain, deeply participate in the investment and construction of Egypt's photovoltaic, wind power, energy storage, hydrogen energy and gas turbines, help the transformation and upgrading of Egypt's energy structure, and continue to inject green momentum into Egypt's "Vision 2030" with innovative technologies and high-quality projects, and promote the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership to a new height.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
