On June 10, the first large-scale measurement of vehicle-network interaction based on "5G + quantum" virtual power plant in China was completed at the charging station of Anhui Petroleum Hefei Government Affairs Center. Relying on the first "5G + quantum" virtual power plant in China, the measurement achieves millisecond-level response of charging and discharging equipment through quantum encryption technology, marking a key step for Sinopec in the application of vehicle-to-network interaction (V2G) technology and the construction of new power systems.
Vehicle-network interaction is to use new energy vehicles as mobile energy storage units, realize two-way energy flow with the power grid through charging and swapping facilities, and charge vehicles at low prices when electricity consumption is low; At peak power consumption, vehicles send power to the grid, which not only helps the grid to shave peak and fill valleys, but also allows car owners to profit from the electricity price difference.
Relying on the "5G + quantum" virtual power plant, the charging and discharging instructions are transmitted through quantum encryption technology, and the data security and response speed are guaranteed, providing reliable support for power grid dispatching.
As a test site, the charging station of Anhui Petroleum Hefei Government Affairs Center is equipped with 33 fast charging piles and 92 charging spaces. During the measurement, the total discharge in a single day exceeded 1000 kWh, and the maximum discharge power of a single gun reached 60 kWh, which verified the feasibility of large-scale application and demonstrated the potential of large-scale application of vehicle-network interactive technology.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
