On June 12th, Linyang Energy announced that a consortium formed by its Linyang Power Services and China Water Resources and Electric Power Corporation has successfully won the bid for the Mauritius government's grid side energy storage project, with a bid amount of 24.9889 million US dollars (excluding tax), equivalent to approximately 179 million yuan, accounting for 2.66% of the company's 2024 revenue.
The tenderer of this project, Mauritius Central Electricity Board (CEB), is responsible for 42% of the country's electricity supply and is working towards the goal of 60% renewable energy by 2030. The winning energy storage system has various functions such as frequency regulation and voltage regulation, which can achieve millisecond level response and help stabilize the local power grid and integrate new energy.
The project adopts EPC mode and requires adaptation to extreme environments such as high salt spray and strong typhoons on islands. The overseas version of Linyang Energy's energy storage products has passed international certifications such as IEC62133 and UL9540A, ensuring long-term stable operation. This bid has improved the global business layout of Linyang Energy's "Europe Africa Asia Pacific" business. With three major overseas bases, as of the end of 2024, the cumulative delivery and grid connection of energy storage systems have exceeded 4.5 GWh, and the reserve projects have exceeded 10 GWh.
