On July 27, 2025, Yichu Energy Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract to settle in Leping Town, Sanshui District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The total investment of this project is 1 billion yuan, which will construct a 300 MW/600 MWh independent energy storage power station and supporting photovoltaic storage and charging facilities, covering an area of about 50 acres. This is the first large-scale integrated photovoltaic storage and charging project in Foshan City, with an expected annual output value of 200 million yuan after completion.
Yichu Energy Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Industry Co., Ltd., specializing in the development and operation of independent shared energy storage power stations. Relying on the leading advantage of its parent company in the lithium battery industry, the company has laid out new energy storage projects in multiple provinces. The Foshan project will adopt advanced energy storage technology and, upon completion, will become an important power peak shaving facility in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, providing strong support for the construction of a new regional power system.

The chairman of the company, Liu Rui, stated that the established goals have been successfully achieved in the first half of 2025, and the annual development goal of "signing 30 gigawatt hours, starting 20 gigawatt hours, and grid connection 10 gigawatt hours" will be fully achieved in the second half of the year. The implementation of this project will promote the development of Foshan's new energy equipment industry and help China achieve its "dual carbon" strategic goals.
