On July 29, 2025, the China Tendering and Bidding Public Service Platform released the bidding announcement for the EPC general contracting of a 100MW/400MWh shared energy storage power station in Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. This project is invested and constructed by Yuanshi County Zhusheng Energy Storage Co., Ltd., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nanjing Zijing Photovoltaic Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The project site is located in Mochi Village, Zhaotong Township, Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, with a planned construction period of 180 days. It is now open for bidding nationwide.

It is reported that the planned construction scale of the project is 100MW/400MWh, and one 110kV booster station will be built as a supporting facility. The station will be equipped with one 110MVA main transformer, which will be connected to the Wanhua Suyang 110kV line via a 110kV transmission line. The energy storage system adopts a modular design, consisting of 20 5MW/20MWh energy storage units, each unit containing 4 sets of 5MWh battery systems and 1 5MVA inverter boost integrated machine. All equipment adopts an outdoor prefabricated cabin layout, integrating core equipment such as energy storage lithium battery system, power distribution system, liquid cooling temperature control system, and fire protection system.

This tender accepts consortium bidding and requires bidders to possess the corresponding qualifications:

1. The qualification for surveying requires a Class A comprehensive engineering survey or a Class B or higher professional (geotechnical engineering and engineering surveying) qualification;

2. Design qualifications require comprehensive Class A engineering design or Class B or above in the power industry;

3. The construction qualification requires a second level or above general contracting qualification for power engineering construction and a third level or above general contracting qualification for building engineering construction.

The project requires bidders to provide financial audit reports for the past three years and have no record of dishonesty on the Credit China website. The main personnel need to be equipped with project managers, survey leaders, design leaders, and construction leaders with corresponding qualification certificates. It is particularly emphasized that the number of bidding members in the consortium shall not exceed 3, and the leading unit must be the construction unit or the design unit.

The implementation of this project will significantly enhance the peak shaving capability and new energy consumption level of Shijiazhuang power grid, and has important demonstration significance for building a new type of power system. After the project is completed, it will not only improve the reliability of regional power supply, but also accumulate valuable experience for the construction of large-scale energy storage projects in the future. According to the bidding documents, the project is planned to commence construction within 2025 and be completed and put into operation by 2026.

Industry insiders point out that with the continuous promotion of China's dual carbon goals, the energy storage industry is entering a period of rapid development. The 100MW/400MWh shared energy storage power station project in this bidding adopts an advanced prefabricated cabin design scheme, reflecting the current trend of energy storage technology towards standardization and modularization, and will provide important reference for similar projects in the future.
