Arevon Energy, a U.S. renewable energy developer, announced on August 3, 2025 that the Nighthawk energy storage project in Poway, California, has officially started construction. The project will scale 300MW/1200MWh with a total investment of $600 million and will become an important grid infrastructure in California when completed. The project uses Tesla's Megapack energy storage system and is equipped with multiple safety and security measures, and plans to provide stable power support to the San Diego area.
As a grid strengthening project focused on by the California Public Utilities Commission, the "Nighthawk" energy storage station reached a long-term cooperation agreement with Pacific Gas and Power as early as 2021. The project was wholly developed and operated by Arevon Energy, and construction was carried out by local California company Rosentine Electric Contractors. This is another important layout of Arevon Energy in California, after the company has just completed the commissioning of a 200MW/400MWh energy storage project in San Diego.

Arevon Energy's CEO said the project will significantly improve the flexibility and reliability of California's power grid and help achieve the state's clean energy transition goals. Notably, the company also recently completed a $600 million credit facility, providing strong financial security for its portfolio of photovoltaic and energy storage projects in the United States. With the advancement of large-scale energy storage projects such as Nighthawk, Arevon Energy is solidifying its position in the U.S. renewable energy market.(This article is from the official website of Jiandao www.seetao.com it must not be reproduced without permission, otherwise it must be investigated, please indicate the reprint of Jiandao Network + original link) See the editor of the energy storage column of Jiandao Network / Gao Xue
