Recently, the launch ceremony of Jilin Jingyu Pumped Storage Project was held in Jingshan Town, Jingyu County, Baishan City. Wang Xuefeng, Deputy Secretary of Baishan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Sun Yi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Director of Huadian Jilin Company, Yu Miao, Secretary of Jingyu County Party Committee, and Liu Qiang, Deputy General Manager of Huadian Pumped Storage Company, attended the ceremony on site.

As one of the key implementation projects of the medium and long-term plan for pumped storage in Jilin Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period, Jilin Jingyu Pumped Storage Project is the first pumped storage project invested and constructed by China Huadian Corporation in the Northeast region, and also the first pumped storage project initiated by Jilin Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period.

The power station is located in Jingyu County, Baishan City, Jilin Province. The site area belongs to the Songhua River Basin, with an installed capacity of 1800MW and a total investment of over 11.6 billion yuan. Install 6 sets of vertical shaft single-stage mixed flow water pump turbine units with a single capacity of 300MW, with an average annual power generation of 1.481 billion kWh, an average annual pumping capacity of 1.975 billion kWh, and a comprehensive efficiency of 75.0%. After the completion of the power station, it mainly undertakes tasks such as system peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, phase modulation, and emergency backup in the system. While effectively improving the regulation capacity of Jilin Province's power system and promoting the development and utilization of new energy within the province, it will make significant contributions to promoting local economic and social development.
