Five independent energy storage projects start construction in Inner Mongolia

In 2025, Inner Mongolia Energy Group officially broke ground on five independent energy storage projects, marking a solid and crucial step for the group in the field of new energy storage. The projects under construction this time include the Tuquan 500000 kW/2 million kWh independent new energy storage power station project, Dengkou 400000 kW/16 million kWh independent energy storage project, Huade 500000 kW/2 million kWh independent energy storage project, Chifeng Balin Left Banner 400000 kW/16 million kWh independent energy storage project, and Sunite Right Banner 300000 kW/1.2 million kWh independent energy storage power station project.

This batch of projects is of great significance. It is not only an important measure for Inner Mongolia Energy Group to actively respond to the call of the autonomous region to promote the high-quality development of new energy storage, but also a vivid portrayal of the group's further expansion and growth in new energy layout. After the project was approved, Inner Mongolia Energy Group acted quickly, promoting high-level and precise decision-making. To accelerate the progress of the project, the group started the bidding preparation work one month in advance and completed the pre construction procedures in just two months, which is nearly 45 days ahead of the usual schedule, laying a solid foundation for the project to start construction in accordance with laws and regulations.

In the process of project construction, the group adheres to the attitude of striving for excellence and selects domestically leading blade battery stacking technology and square lithium iron phosphate shell batteries to ensure the performance and quality of energy storage systems from the source. At the same time, we will strictly implement the relevant measures of the autonomous region on the fire protection requirements for electrochemical energy storage, and install physical fireproof paint between cabins on the basis of reserving sufficient safety distance. All DC cabins of the project adopt dual fire protection measures of perfluorohexane gas fire protection and cabin water spray. According to the actual operating environment of the project, the cabin protection level of the energy storage integration system is improved to ensure the safe and stable operation of the project throughout its entire life cycle.

After the completion of these projects, they will play an important role on multiple levels. From the perspective of energy regulation, the operation of large capacity energy storage systems can effectively achieve peak shaving and valley filling, improve the phenomenon of wind and solar power abandonment in the regional new energy sector, and make enterprise marketing strategies more flexible and diverse; In terms of power grid security, it can significantly enhance the regulation capability and stability of the power grid while ensuring the number of charging and discharging cycles of the project, and provide escort for the safe, reliable and stable supply of electricity; At the level of energy strategy, it helps to promote the consumption of new energy, promote the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system in the autonomous region, and provide strong support for achieving the dual carbon goals. In addition, the project construction will also create a large number of job opportunities for the local area, drive the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industrial chains, and promote regional economic prosperity.
