Recently, the energy sector in Hainan Province has received significant good news - the largest independent shared energy storage station project in Hainan has officially started construction. This project is built by Tunchang Hengneng Century New Energy Co., Ltd. It is located on the 5th plot of Datong Industrial Park in Tunchang County (east of Haiyu Middle Line), with a total investment of 850 million yuan and a planned land area of 60 acres. The scale is grand and the significance is far-reaching.

This project plans to construct a 200MW/800MWh independent shared energy storage power station, using advanced lithium iron phosphate energy storage battery systems assembled in prefabricated cabins with a scientifically reasonable layout. Within the power station, there is a planned construction of one production office building, one dormitory building, and one 220kV substation, which are fully functional and provide solid support for the stable operation of the project. The entire project is divided into 20 energy storage areas based on 10MW/40MWh, with detailed planning and clear organization.

As the largest independent shared energy storage station project in Hainan, its construction significance is extraordinary. After completion, the project will engage in deep cooperation with enterprises and research institutions such as Southern Power Grid to jointly promote the research and application of key technologies such as energy storage system integration and intelligent regulation, injecting new vitality into the development of energy storage technology. At the same time, the project will accelerate the transformation of Tunchang County from traditional energy consumption to integrated source grid load storage, and help build a cleaner, more efficient, and intelligent energy system.

In addition, the project will significantly enhance the power grid's peak shaving and frequency regulation capabilities, effectively improve the level of new energy consumption, and provide strong technological support for the optimization of regional energy structure.
