Recently, a domestic new energy technology enterprise announced an investment of over 2 billion yuan to build a 10GWh solid-state battery production base in the Yangtze River Delta New Energy Industrial Park. The project is expected to achieve the first phase of 3GWh production capacity in the first quarter of 2026 and reach full production in 2027. As the core carrier for enterprises to layout the next generation of energy storage technology, this base will focus on the research and mass production of "high safety, long life, and high energy density" solid-state batteries. The products are mainly aimed at high-end application scenarios such as new energy heavy-duty trucks, energy storage powerstations, and low altitude aircraft, filling the gap in large-scale production of high-capacity solid-state batteries in China.

Project core: Combining technological breakthroughs with capacity planning

Unlike traditional liquid lithium batteries, the solid-state battery developed in this project adopts a sulfide electrolyte system. Through the design of a "positive electrode electrolyte negative electrode" all solid state structure, it fundamentally solves safety hazards such as electrolyte leakage and thermal runaway, while achieving key performance leaps:

Energy density: The energy density of a single battery has exceeded 400Wh/kg, which is more than 50% higher than the current mainstream ternary lithium battery. Equipped with new energy heavy-duty trucks, it can achieve a range of over 1200 kilometers;

Cycle life: With a normal temperature cycle life of over 8000 times, it meets the "10+year" service requirements of energy storage power plants and reduces the cost of electricity per kilowatt hour by 15% -20% throughout the entire life cycle;

Low temperature performance: With a capacity retention rate of over 85% in low temperature environments of -30 ℃, it is suitable for energy storage projects and cold chain logistics vehicle scenarios in high latitude regions.

In terms of capacity construction, the project will be promoted in three phases: the first phase will focus on energy storage dedicated solid-state batteries with a capacity of 3GWh, using a fully automatic winding packaging production line with an equipment automation rate of 95%; The second phase of 4GWh production capacity will add a new energy heavy-duty truck power battery production line, introduce AI visual inspection system, and achieve battery consistency error control within ± 2%; The third phase of 3GWh production capacity aims at high rate solid-state batteries for low altitude aircraft, and plans to establish a joint laboratory with unmanned aerial vehicle and electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle (eVTOL) enterprises to customize and develop fast charging products.

Strategic layout: Anchoring the next generation of energy storage technology highland

The construction of a 10GWh solid-state battery project this time is a key step for enterprises to respond to the iteration of energy storage technology and the upgrading of market demand. From the perspective of industry trends, with the surge in new energy installed capacity and the acceleration of high-end equipment electrification, the bottlenecks of traditional lithium batteries in energy density and safety have gradually become prominent. Solid state batteries, as the "next generation energy storage technology", have become the focus of industry competition. According to GGII data, the global solid-state battery market size will exceed 50 billion yuan by 2025 and is expected to reach 300 billion yuan by 2030, of which high-capacity energy storage and high-end power batteries account for over 70%.

On the evening of October 15, 2025, Guosheng Technology announced its external investment and related party transactions. Its subsidiary Anhui Guosheng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. plans to increase its capital to Guosheng Global New Energy (Tieling) Co., Ltd. with 230 million yuan, and subsequently invest in the construction of an AI intelligent manufacturing project with an annual output of 10 GWh solid-state battery industry chain.  

Guosheng Global New Energy (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. established Tieling Global Company on August 19, 2025, as the implementing entity of the AI intelligent manufacturing project for the annual production of 10GWh solid-state battery industry chain.  

Guosheng Technology plans to increase its stake in Tieling Global by RMB 230 million through its subsidiary Anhui Guosheng New Energy, in order to seize the growth opportunities in the solid-state battery industry and hold 51.11% of the shares; At the same time, Jiangsu Global increased its capital to Tieling Global with RMB 120 million, holding a cumulative stake of 48.89%. After the capital increase, Tieling Global's registered capital increased to 450 million yuan.Editor/Bian Wenjun
