Recently, the bidding results for the main engine and its ancillary equipment of the Qingtian Pumped Storage Power Station project in Zhejiang Province were announced. Harbin Electric Machinery Factory Co., Ltd. became the first candidate for the bid with a pre winning price of 947 million yuan. This move marks the beginning of the core stage of equipment procurement and construction implementation for this major project with a total investment of approximately 7.807 billion yuan, laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed and put into operation as scheduled.

This project is a first-class (1) type project located in Qingtian County, Zhejiang Province, and has been approved for construction by the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The planned total installed capacity of the power station is up to 1200 megawatts, and four vertical shaft single-stage mixed flow reversible water pump turbine units with a single capacity of 300 megawatts will be installed. As a daily regulated pure pumped storage power station, its hub project includes an upper reservoir, a lower reservoir, a water transmission system, and an underground powerhouse, with a regulating storage capacity of 9.29 million cubic meters for both upper and lower reservoirs. The main buildings are designed according to Level 1 standards to ensure engineering safety and quality.

According to the bidding requirements, the supply cycle for the host and ancillary equipment is tentatively set at 1460 calendar days. The overall progress of the project is tight, and four units are planned to be put into commercial operation from November 2029 to the end of June 2030. The pre winning bidder must ensure strict adherence to this schedule and complete the entire process from design, manufacturing to supply.

The scope of this bidding covers the full lifecycle services of the equipment, including not only core hosts such as water pumps, turbines, and generators, but also extended to various aspects such as installation guidance, commissioning, trial operation, technical training, and after-sales service.
