Ha Electric Group wins order for Cambodia's Shangdadai Pumped Storage Power Station

In 2025, the highly anticipated Linkou Jiantang Pumped Storage Power Station project has made significant progress. The bidding results for the pre feasibility study and feasibility stage survey and design of the project have been officially announced recently. Zhongshui Northeast Survey, Design and Research Co., Ltd. has become the proposed winning bidder with a bid price of 245 million yuan. Changjiang Survey, Planning, Design and Research Co., Ltd. and China Power Construction Group Zhongnan Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. ranked second and third with bids of 245.28 million yuan and 245.56 million yuan respectively, marking the substantial progress stage of this major energy infrastructure project.
The Linkou Jiantang Pumped Storage Power Station project was included in the national "Pumped Storage Medium - and Long Term Plan (2021-2035)" in 2021 and has been identified as a key implementation project for the 14th Five Year Plan. The power station is located in Linkou County, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, with a straight-line distance of about 46 kilometers from Linkou County, 132 kilometers from Mudanjiang City, and 275 kilometers from Harbin City. As an important regulating power source of Heilongjiang power grid, the total investment of the power station is about 12 billion yuan, and it is planned to install 6 reversible hydro generator units with a single capacity of 300000 kilowatts, with a total installed capacity of 1.8 million kilowatts.

After completion, the power station will be connected to the Heilongjiang power grid at a voltage level of 500 kV, mainly responsible for key tasks such as power system peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, phase modulation, and emergency backup. The hub buildings of the power station mainly consist of an upper reservoir, a lower reservoir, a water transmission system, an underground powerhouse group, a ground switch station, and a permanent road inside the site. The design scheme fully considers the needs of energy storage and ecological protection, and will achieve the function of "peak shaving and valley filling" through advanced reversible power generation technology. The successful bidding of this survey and design project has laid a solid technical foundation for subsequent engineering construction. After the completion of the project, it will significantly enhance the new energy consumption capacity of Heilongjiang Province and Northeast China, effectively improve the balance of power supply and demand, and have important strategic significance for optimizing the regional energy structure and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
