On October 24th, the "Forum on High Quality Development and Technical Standards of Photovoltaic Industry" jointly organized by China Electronics Standardization Institute and China Photovoltaic Industry Association came to a successful conclusion in Changji, Xinjiang. At a critical period of deep adjustment in the photovoltaic industry, the conference gathers leaders and elites from all walks of life in the photovoltaic industry, including industry, academia, and research, to jointly explore a new path of promoting the coordinated upgrading of the entire industry chain through standard guidance.
As a pioneer in the industrialization of perovskite, Dr. Yu Zhenrui, co-founder and president of Utmo Light, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech titled "Certification Standards and Life Assessment of Perovskite Modules" at the sub forum on "Quality Improvement and Technical Standard Innovation of Photovoltaic Cell Modules", contributing the wisdom from the forefront of industrialization to the construction of a new photovoltaic product standard system.
In his speech, Dr. Yu Zhenrui focused on the key challenges in the current certification system for perovskite components. He pointed out that the current certification testing for perovskite components follows the IEC standard. Although reliable testing conclusions can be drawn on the durability of the product's appearance, mechanical properties, temperature and humidity, and safety performance, the special attenuation characteristics of perovskite as a "soft lattice" material have not been fully considered.
Perovskite is a material mainly composed of ionic bonds, with low bonding strength between various element molecules. It is prone to chemical bond breakage under external water oxygen, high temperature, and strong light irradiation, "Dr. Yu Zhenrui pointed out." The current IEC 61215 standard already covers factors such as water oxygen (DH, HF), high temperature (DH, TC), and machinery, but the influence of long-term high-dose light irradiation at high temperatures has not been considered, which needs to be taken into account when formulating new standards. ”
To this end, he proposed that a series of enhanced testing items such as bias voltage stability, light immersion, light humidity heat, and light dark cycling should be added based on the IEC 61215 standard and with reference to the ISOS protocol. At the same time, he introduced a method for evaluating the lifespan of single junction perovskite components based on accelerated aging experimental data of "light soaking" at different temperatures, providing a more scientific and practical aging evaluation basis for the commercialization of perovskite components.

In the subsequent roundtable dialogue session, Dr. Yu Zhenrui had in-depth exchanges with industry experts on the theme of "Analysis of Technical Standards and Quality Improvement Paths for New Photovoltaic Products under the Background of Quality and Efficiency Improvement".
He emphasized that perovskite is a new technology that requires the participation of industry research institutions, upstream and downstream of the component manufacturing industry chain, certification testing institutions, and end customers in standard development, in order to complete a series of standard development as soon as possible. In order to do this job well, on the one hand, it is necessary to have a comprehensive plan for standard setting, develop a "battle map" for the perovskite industry standards, set a timetable according to the "priority and urgency" of industry development, and promote the formulation of various standards according to the plan; On the other hand, the unified management and leadership of standard formulation will be strengthened by the China Electronics Standardization Institute and CPIA Standards Committee, and important standard recommendations will be approved and promoted in relevant departments. He also suggested developing a dedicated group logo (trial version) for the certification of perovskite single junction module products as soon as possible, in order to ensure the quality of large-scale single junction perovskite module products.
In the current lack of specialized certification standards, the stability of perovskite components needs to undergo comprehensive reliability verification. To this end, Utmo Light has established a comprehensive component stability verification system that integrates IEC, ISOS, and outdoor empirical testing, ensuring the long-term stability of the components. Up to now, all commercial perovskite components of Utmo Light have successfully passed the IEC stability test of T ∨ V certification, and have carried out long-term outdoor empirical and commercial applications in Heilongjiang, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shanghai, Hebei, Xinjiang, Xizang, Japan and other places, providing key data support for the formulation of industry standards.

Under the guidance of the "dual carbon" strategy, China's photovoltaic industry is moving from scale expansion to a new stage of quality improvement, and the innovation of technical standards has become a key pillar to promote the healthy development of the industry. Since deeply cultivating the new photovoltaic technology field of perovskite, Utmo Light has always adhered to technological innovation and standard co construction, actively participated in the formulation of industry standards, and promoted the establishment of a scientific and rigorous perovskite product evaluation system. In the future, Utmo Light will continue to strengthen technological innovation, deepen the verification and practice of perovskite technology, and work together with the upstream and downstream of the photovoltaic industry chain to help China's photovoltaic industry move from leading in scale to leading in standards.
