Recently, Yuanjing Power's intelligent lithium battery production base officially started construction in Yichang High tech Zone. The total investment of this project is as high as 24.2 billion yuan, and it only took 18 days from signing to construction, setting a record for the "Yichang speed" of major project construction.

As the 14th global production base of Far East Technology Group, this project covers an area of 504 acres and will be promoted in two phases. One of the investments is 12 billion yuan, with a planned annual production capacity of 40GWh. It is expected to achieve the first battery cell offline on July 15, 2026. After the project reaches full capacity, the annual output value will exceed 10 billion yuan.

The base will cover the entire industry chain technology of electrodes, cells, battery packs, etc., with a focus on producing the new generation of 700+Ah energy storage battery products. This technical specification has obvious advantages in the current market competition, which will effectively improve system integration efficiency and reduce production costs.

Zhao Weijun, President of Yuanjing Power China, stated that the company will rely on Yichang phosphate resources to build a full lifecycle industrial chain from raw materials to system applications, and build a world-class factory that is green, intelligent, and digital.

In recent years, Yichang has focused on promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, and has introduced a number of leading enterprises such as Ningde Times and Bangpu. As of now, the production capacity of new energy batteries built and under construction in Yichang has exceeded 200GWh.
