Recently, Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone and Shijiazhuang Shangtai Technology Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the "Annual Production of 200000 Tons of Lithium Battery Negative Electrode Materials (Shanxi Phase V) Project". The implementation of this major project will further enhance China's independent guarantee capability in the field of key materials for lithium batteries, injecting new momentum into the development of the new energy industry.

As a leading enterprise in the domestic negative electrode material industry, Shangtai Technology focuses on the research and manufacturing of lithium battery negative electrode materials. It was listed on the main board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2022 and was rated as a national level specialized, refined, special and new "little giant" enterprise in 2024. The five phase project signed this time will be implemented in Yangqu Industrial Park, Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, covering an area of 955 acres, with a total investment of 4 billion yuan and a designed production capacity of 200000 tons. The project will be equipped with advanced R&D and operation systems, and build an intelligent and green high-end negative electrode material production line. After full production, the expected annual output value can reach 6 billion yuan.

It is worth mentioning that since the first docking of the project in early September 2025, the Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone has been promoted by a special team, which has conducted special research on the specific matters of project implementation and coordinated multiple departments to successively overcome various difficulties and obstacles in project implementation. The efficient coordination and close communication between the relevant departments of both parties have laid a solid foundation for the project signing. The Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone stated that it will take this signing as a starting point to actively connect with enterprises, continue to provide precise services, and ensure that the project starts construction and achieves efficiency as soon as possible.
