The chill of early winter has not slowed down the pace of development. On the contrary, in industrial parks in Sichuan, Hubei, Zhejiang, and Guangdong, a number of new energy battery projects are "breaking ground" and quietly sparking a production capacity competition about next-generation power and energy storage technologies. Since November, from Suining in Sichuan to Huizhou in Guangdong, from Xiangyang in Hubei to Lishui in Zhejiang, many new energy battery and material projects have been intensively accelerated, and the pace of industrial chain expansion has been constantly accelerating. New energy storage and power battery projects such as sodium ion batteries, solid-state batteries, and large cylindrical lithium (sodium) batteries have been signed, approved, or accelerated for construction, demonstrating the booming development momentum of the new energy industry.

The project signing approval is steadily advancing, with sodium batteries and solid-state batteries becoming highlights
In the field of sodium ion batteries, the Guangde Qingna 20GWh sodium ion battery production project was officially signed on November 20th and settled in Suining Economic and Technological Development Zone, Sichuan. The total investment of this project is 6 billion yuan, and it is planned to build a 20GWh sodium ion battery production line. After completion, it will form synergy with the existing sodium electricity industry chain in the park, further strengthening the regional sodium electricity industry layout.
At the same time, the solid-state battery material project has also made new progress. The Jinlongyu solid-state battery material project entered the approval stage on November 17th. The project is located in Huidong County, Huizhou City, and is invested and built by Jinlongyu New Energy (Huidong) Co., Ltd. It plans to produce 1550 tons of lithium-ion battery coated separators, 10000 tons of lithium manganese iron phosphate positive electrode materials, 1000 tons of silicon carbon negative electrode materials, and 3000 tons of solid electrolytes annually, of which about 90% of the solid electrolytes will be sold externally.
The project construction progress continues to refresh, and the production capacity of lithium sodium batteries is accelerating its landing
In Hubei, the Yijiatong 4GWh industrial power lithium battery project is advancing at full speed. The total investment of this project is 2 billion yuan, located in Laohekou City, Xiangyang City. Currently, the pile foundation and ground beam of the battery cell factory building have been completed, the main steel structure of Zone A has also been built, and nearly half of the steel structure of Zone B has been completed. The supporting facilities such as PACK factory building and warehouse are being constructed simultaneously, and the overall construction progress is constantly updating.

In Zhejiang, the Gaia New Energy 3GWh large cylindrical lithium (sodium) battery manufacturing project has also achieved phased results. The project is located in Suichang County, Lishui City, with a total investment of approximately 346 million yuan and will be constructed in three phases. At present, four factory buildings are being constructed simultaneously, and the main structure has been completed by nearly 90%. It is expected to be fully capped by the end of November and enter the equipment debugging stage in March next year. In the future, the main production will be energy storage large cylindrical lithium (sodium) batteries. Keywords: New Energy News, New Energy Information Network, New Energy Latest News
With the continuous acceleration of new energy battery projects from signing, approval to construction in various regions, diverse technological routes such as sodium batteries, solid-state batteries, and large cylindrical batteries are advancing simultaneously, and the synergistic effect of the industrial chain is gradually increasing. This intensive project layout not only reflects the active positioning of enterprises towards next-generation battery technology, but also indicates that the new energy battery industry is about to usher in a new round of capacity release and technological upgrading.
