At the end of the year, the warm sunshine in Beijing marks a crucial progress in the practical implementation of a livelihood project that carries the friendship and common vision between China and Mongolia. On December 9, 2025, the preliminary design review of the China Mongolia Yuanshou Sports Center project was successfully completed, and both parties signed the design review minutes, marking the formal entry of this highly anticipated aid project from the preliminary preparation stage to the substantive construction stage. This is not only the construction of a sports stadium, but also a concrete manifestation of the deepening cooperation between China and Mongolia in the fields of sports and cultural exchanges and people to people exchanges.

High level work exchanges build consensus, and both parties work together to advance the project progress

During the meeting that day, Zhang Guanbin, Director of the Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, had in-depth and pragmatic work exchanges with Amarsaihan, Advisor to the Office of the President of Mongolia, and his delegation on the progress of the project. Director Zhang Guanbin highly appreciates the frequent interaction and close cooperation between the teams of both sides in recent times, and points out that the project is a concrete action to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state. He hopes that both sides will continue to work towards the same goal and jointly promote the early commencement of construction of the project. Advisor Amarsaihan expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the Mongolian side to the Chinese government for fulfilling its commitments and efficiently promoting various preliminary work of the project. 

He particularly paid tribute to the professional competence, pragmatic attitude, and efficient style demonstrated by the Chinese team. He made it clear that Mongolia will strictly follow the implementation agreement between both parties, fulfill relevant supporting obligations in a timely manner, and fully cooperate with China to complete the project construction with high quality.

The design review has been successfully completed, and the project construction has entered the fast lane

An important substantive achievement of this meeting was the formal signing of the "Preliminary Design Review Minutes for the Aid to Mongolia China Mongolia Head of State Sports Center Project" between the Chinese project management enterprise and Mongolian representatives. The signing of this minutes means that the preliminary design documents of the project have been jointly confirmed by both parties. The completion of this critical milestone paves the way for subsequent detailed design, bidding and procurement, and engineering construction. The project is fully organized, implemented, and managed by the International Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Its efficient promotion demonstrates the standardization and professionalism of China's foreign aid project management, as well as the smooth communication and close cooperation between the work teams of China and Mongolia.

Multi functional sports center will become a new symbol of China Mongolia friendship

According to the plan, the Yuanshou Sports Center in Mongolia is a comprehensive sports facility with complete functions. Its main construction content includes indoor sports rooms and supporting ancillary facilities that can support training and competitions for 19 different sports projects simultaneously. At the same time, the center will also be open to the Mongolian public and become an important carrier for promoting the development of local fitness activities.
