Recently, the UK has taken an important step in the field of energy infrastructure. The Office of Natural Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), the energy regulatory agency, has officially announced that it will allocate £ 28 billion to support corporate investment to comprehensively enhance the stability, security, and resilience of energy networks.

According to the plan, approximately £ 17.8 billion of this funding will primarily be used to maintain and upgrade the UK's natural gas network, ensuring the safety and reliability of the gas supply system; Another £ 10.3 billion will be invested in the construction of transmission networks to strengthen power transmission capacity, support the integration of renewable energy into the grid, and enhance the overall resilience of the system.
