Against the backdrop of promoting the green transformation of energy structure and assisting in the achievement of the "dual carbon" goal, Chongqing's new energy construction has added another important milestone. Recently, Guoneng (Chongqing) New Energy Development Co., Ltd. launched a large-scale and innovative photovoltaic project in Longxing Town, Hechuan District, marking a new step for Chongqing in the comprehensive utilization of clean energy and ecological coordinated development.

On the morning of December 10th, the Hechuan Longxing Forest Photovoltaic Complementary Project of Guoneng (Chongqing) New Energy Development Co., Ltd. officially started construction. This project is listed as a key new energy project in Chongqing, with a total investment of over 1 billion yuan. It is located in 8 villages including Tianyou Village, Anle Village, and Dishui Village in Longxing Town, Hechuan District. The photovoltaic array area covers an area of approximately 5989 acres.

According to the plan, the total construction capacity of the project will reach 320MW, of which 220MW will be built in the first phase, with a total of 96 photovoltaic arrays arranged and a newly built 110 kV booster station. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of next year and will be ready for grid connection and operation.

It is worth noting that the project innovation adopts a forest solar complementary mode of "on-board power generation and off board tree planting", systematically planting olive trees under the photovoltaic panels, which not only improves the efficiency of land composite utilization, but also achieves the organic combination of photovoltaic power generation and ecological maintenance. After the project is fully put into operation, it is expected to generate an average annual power of 333561 megawatt hours, providing considerable green energy for the region.

This project is not only another important achievement in the construction of new energy infrastructure in Chongqing, but also provides a practical example for promoting the integration of photovoltaics and agriculture and forestry industries nationwide. Through the green development model of "complementary forest and light", the Hechuan Longxing project will play multiple roles in promoting clean energy supply, enhancing comprehensive land benefits, and improving the local ecological environment, further empowering Chongqing's low-carbon and sustainable economic and social development.
