In the wave of accelerating the transformation of the global energy structure towards green and low-carbon, China Energy Engineering Corporation (referred to as "CEEC") has added another heavyweight achievement in international new energy cooperation. Recently, the joint venture consisting of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, East China Institute and Hunan Thermal Power has successfully won the bid for Oman's JBB Ali wind power project, realizing the rolling development of Oman's new energy market, writing a significant contribution to the green cooperation between China and Oman in jointly building the "the Belt and Road", and injecting strong impetus into the implementation of Oman's "2040 energy strategy".

The winning bid project is located in the Jalan Bani Bu Ali area on the eastern coast of Oman, about 440 kilometers away from Dukum Port, with a superior geographical location and abundant wind energy resources. The total installed capacity of the project is 120 megawatts, and it is planned to install 16 large onshore wind turbines with a capacity of 7.5 megawatts. A supporting 132 kV outgoing line system will be constructed, which will be connected to the Oman Power Transmission Company substation through a dedicated transmission line, to build an integrated clean energy supply system of "power generation transmission grid connection". As one of the key renewable energy projects promoted by Oman, its annual power generation is expected to reach 400 million kilowatt hours after completion, which will effectively enhance the power supply guarantee capacity of the eastern coastal areas, provide stable green electricity for local industrial production and residents' lives, and promote the development and utilization of renewable energy in Oman to a new level.
From project planning to technical solutions, the full chain strength of China Energy Alliance has become its core competitiveness. The joint venture will fully undertake the entire process of project design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation and maintenance. With mature technology accumulation and rich international performance experience in the construction of large-scale wind power projects, it will accurately match the Oman grid access standards and environmental protection requirements. The selection of 7.5 MW wind turbines not only fully adapts to the characteristics of local wind resources, but also reduces the cost of electricity per kilowatt hour through large-scale application, which highlights the progressiveness and economic nature of China's wind power technology, and also provides a "China plan" for the construction of large-scale wind power projects in the Middle East.

The achievement of this cooperation is not only an important breakthrough for China Energy Construction to deeply cultivate the new energy market in the Middle East, but also a vivid manifestation of the consensus between China and Arab countries in the field of green development. In recent years, Oman has been accelerating its efforts to break away from its dependence on oil and gas. Through the National Energy Strategy 2040, it has clearly set the strategic goal of increasing the proportion of renewable energy installed capacity to 30% by 2030 and 60% -70% by 2040. Wind power, as a key driver of clean energy transformation, has become a key area of international cooperation. China Energy Engineering Corporation's winning bid not only responds to Oman's urgent need for energy transformation, but also continues its good momentum of green infrastructure layout in the Middle East. Previously, the company has won multiple large-scale new energy projects in countries such as Saudi Arabia, with a cumulative signing amount of over 80 billion yuan, forming a mature regional market operation system.
The advancement of the project will bring multiple profound values: at the environmental level, it can reduce a large amount of carbon emissions every year, helping Oman fulfill its climate commitments; At the economic level, it will drive the creation of local employment opportunities and the development of related industries, promote technological exchanges and capacity building; At the cooperation level, it will further deepen mutual trust and cooperation between China and Oman in the field of energy, and provide solid support for the deep connection between the "the Belt and Road" initiative and Oman's national development vision.

In the future, China Energy Alliance will promote project construction with high standards and high quality, strictly control engineering safety and progress, and ensure that projects are put into operation on schedule and effective. As a "national team" in the global energy and power construction field, China Energy Construction will continue to rely on its advantages in the entire industry chain to promote the "going global" of Chinese technology, equipment, and standards. It will continue to deepen its cultivation in the Middle East new energy market, contribute Chinese strength to regional energy transformation, and write a new chapter in cross-border green cooperation.Editor/Bian Wenjun
