On December 25th local time, under the joint witness of the owner's representative and the EPC project management team, the pile foundation construction ceremony of Section C of the Fulis Photovoltaic Power Station was successfully held. Although the ceremony is concise, its significance is profound - it not only marks the full entry of the project into the substantive construction phase, but also a solid step for Saudi Arabia towards its 2030 vision.
At the project site, engineers from China and Saudi Arabia conducted technical briefings under the scorching sun. This desert will soon become an energy treasure trove, "the project leader said." The Fulis Photovoltaic Power Station is located in the northeast of Jeddah City, Mecca Province, western Saudi Arabia. It is a key project for Saudi Arabia to promote the transformation and upgrading of its energy structure. After completion, the project can reduce millions of tons of carbon emissions annually, helping Saudi Arabia achieve its goal of economic diversification.

The Desert Practice of Chinese Technology
The construction content of Section C undertaken by Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd. is full of technical content. It not only involves the installation of 600MW photovoltaic modules, convergence and inverter equipment, but also includes the connection and laying of photovoltaic DC and medium voltage AC lines, as well as the installation of cutting-edge technologies such as meteorological stations and component cleaning robots.

This is the third large-scale photovoltaic project undertaken by China Energy Construction in Saudi Arabia. Previously, the company had successfully implemented the Alshubach 2.6GW photovoltaic project and the Harden 2GW photovoltaic power station project. The rich local experience enables the Chinese team to better cope with the special challenges of desert environments and ensure high-quality project implementation.

A new chapter of energy cooperation along the the Belt and Road
The Fulis Photovoltaic Power Station project is one of the major contracts announced by China Energy Engineering Corporation in early October this year, with a contract amount of 831 million US dollars. As the general contractor of the Saudi Arabia PIF Phase VI Forise 2GW photovoltaic project, China Energy Engineering is deepening the cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in clean energy through practical actions.
After the completion of the project, it will effectively optimize the energy structure of Saudi Arabia, promote green and low-carbon development, and add new impetus to the high-quality co construction of the the Belt and Road.
