On January 1, 2026, China Energy Engineering Northeast Institute achieved its first international business victory in the new year, successfully signing the PC contracting project for the 220 kV double circuit transmission line and substation expansion project of Uzbekistan's Peak Wind Project, marking the beginning of the company's overseas market development in the new year. The implementation of this project is not only another important achievement of China Energy Engineering Northeast Institute's deep cultivation in the field of Central Asian power grid construction, but also demonstrates the strong strength and brand influence of Chinese power construction enterprises in the international market.

The project signed this time covers two core construction contents, one is to build a 128 kilometer 220 kV double circuit transmission line, and the other is to carry out the expansion and renovation of the opposite side substation. As a key supporting project for improving the regional power grid architecture in Uzbekistan, the project will effectively open up the power transmission channel in Samarkand Oblast, greatly alleviate the local power distribution pressure, and significantly improve the power supply stability and reliability of the regional power grid, providing solid power guarantee for local economic and social development.
The Central Asian market is a key area for China Energy Engineering Northeast Institute's overseas business layout. This signing is not accidental, but the inevitable result of the company's long-term deep cultivation and continuous performance. Previously, the Northeast Institute had successfully completed the EPC project for the Navoi 500 kV transmission line and also signed the EPC demonstration project for the Navoi Chuchu Yushlik 400 km 500 kV transmission line. Through repeated high-quality performance and project implementation, Northeast Institute has accumulated a good reputation in the Uzbekistan power grid market and laid a solid foundation for the signing of this project.

From the breakthrough of a single project to the continuous deepening of the market, the business expansion road of CNECC Northeast Research Institute in Uzbekistan is a vivid epitome of China's central enterprises' participation in the construction of the "the Belt and Road" power infrastructure. The PC project signed this New Year not only marks the first breakthrough in the high-quality development of Northeast Institute's overseas business in 2026, but also further consolidates the company's market position in the field of Central Asian power grid construction, helps China and Ukraine to deepen their cooperation in energy infrastructure, and injects power momentum into building a closer China Ukraine community with a shared future.Editor/Bian Wenjun
