CNOOC signs cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan to deepen oilfield service cooperation

KMG Drilling&Services, a subsidiary of KMG, has officially signed a cooperation framework agreement with CNOOC. This agreement aims to deepen the strategic cooperation between the two parties in the field of drilling and oilfield services within Kazakhstan, covering key areas such as drilling operations, oil well services, joint project participation, technology transfer, and improving the level of local industrial support.

On the eve of the signing, Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of KMG, held talks with Zhao Shunqiang, Chairman and CEO of CNOOC in Astana. Both sides exchanged views on the prospects of expanding cooperation in the field of oilfield services, deepening scientific and technological innovation, and talent cultivation. During the meeting, it was mentioned that KMG Engineering, a subsidiary of KMG, has collaborated with CNOOC to apply advanced technologies in oilfield development, drilling, and oil well maintenance.
