According to the latest statistics from the border inspection station in Takshiken, Xinjiang, in 2025, the important hub of the China Mongolia border - Takshiken Port - will continue to operate at a high level, with a total of more than 163000 inbound and outbound personnel inspected and released throughout the year, and the highest daily inspection and release volume reaching more than 900 people. Both data reflect the strong vitality and attractiveness of the port.

It is worth noting that the growth of third country personnel has become an annual highlight in the overall passenger flow. According to statistics, the cumulative number of third country personnel entering and exiting through the Takshken Port in 2025 will exceed 2700, a significant increase of 64% year-on-year. These travelers come from highly diverse sources, covering 43 countries and regions around the world including Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Denmark, and others. This change marks the acceleration of the transformation of Takshken Port from a regional border port to a channel connecting broader international markets.

The continuous increase of passenger flow, especially the significant growth of long-distance international passengers, is mainly due to the continued release of the dividend of China's visa free policy for many countries, and the in-depth promotion of the construction of the China Mongolia Russia Economic Corridor under the framework of the "the Belt and Road". The increasing activity of cross-border tourism, business negotiations, and border trade has brought a continuous stream of popularity to ports.

In response to the growing demand for customs clearance, the Takshken border checkpoint has implemented multiple facilitation measures, such as optimizing inspection processes, opening dedicated channels, and providing multilingual services, to effectively ensure the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the port, providing solid support for promoting regional economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges.Editor/Cheng Liting
