On January 24, 2026, at the Yuchai Group 2026 Global Partner Conference held in Yulin, China, Yuchai officially unveiled its groundbreaking "Yuchai Flywheel Range extender System (FRS)" to the world.

This is not a regular product iteration, but a category creation based on innovative underlying physical structures, marking the official transition of commercial power systems from the traditional "electrical splicing era" to the "physical coaxial integration era". Yuchai has established its strategic position as a global pioneer and leader in flywheel range extension technology with its unique core technology of flywheel motors and in-depth verification in all scenarios.

The Yuchai flywheel range extender system completely abandons the simple stacking mode of "engine+independent motor" commonly used in the industry. It achieves the inherent integration of power source and power generation unit in physical structure through the rigid coaxial integration design of flywheel and engine crankshaft. This core breakthrough, combined with intelligent coupling control algorithms and multi scenario adaptive energy management strategies, has completed the essential evolution of range extenders from "separate assembly" to "organism symbiosis", bringing about a comprehensive leap in efficiency, reliability, and spatial layout.
