In the field of photovoltaics, the project at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang uses high and low temperature resistant components and windproof and sand resistant electrical systems. Its high wind resistant flexible support not only adapts to soft foundations, but also leaves space for ecological restoration under the board. The energy storage system adopts long-life lithium iron phosphate batteries and millisecond level response inverters, forming a centralized and distributed collaborative layout, stabilizing the overall availability of the system at over 95%, far exceeding the level of general equipment.

From passive to active

Faced with the reality of being far away from load centers and weak power grids, intelligent scheduling has become the key to breaking the deadlock. The demonstration project of National Energy Group in Ejina Banner, with grid based energy storage as the core, has achieved long-term stable operation of a wide area pure new energy cluster off the grid for the first time. This energy storage technology can actively construct grid voltage and frequency, providing millisecond level support. At the same time, scheduling systems based on digital twins and AI algorithms, such as those used in the Tianshan Northern Foothills project, can simulate decades of resource changes, optimize equipment layout, reduce mutual interference, control wind and solar power output fluctuations within ± 5%, reduce power abandonment rates to below 2%, and help energy storage increase profits through peak valley arbitrage and other means.

Beyond power generation itself

The development of Shage Desert has gone beyond the scope of simple power generation and is moving towards a deep integration of source grid load storage and ecological governance. To solve the problem of "easy power generation but difficult transmission", the Zhejiang Energy Wuwei Peak shaving Thermal Power Project collaborates with the wind and solar power base to ensure the stability of the ultra-high voltage channel, increasing the utilization rate from 60% to over 85%, reflecting the value of source grid collaboration. At the ecological level, "power generation+desertification control" has become a common model, planting drought resistant crops under photovoltaic panels and developing aquaculture, forming a symbiotic system of "green electricity+oasis". The project has achieved the unified growth of economic, ecological, and social benefits by adopting environmental dust suppressants, topsoil stripping and recycling measures to minimize the ecological footprint.
