Recently, the bidding dust for the survey and design project of Shentang Irrigation District in Wuhu City, Anhui Province has settled. China Electric Power Construction Group East China Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. has successfully won the bid, and will fully lead the full process survey, design, and supporting services of this major water conservancy project, laying a solid foundation for the project's preliminary technical support.

The Shentang Irrigation District project is located on the left bank of the Yangtze River in Wuwei City, Wuhu City, and has been officially approved by the Wuwei City Development and Reform Commission for project approval. As a key project for regional water conservancy infrastructure, it has a wide radiation range, covering 5 towns including Fudu and Dougou in Wuwei City, as well as 2 towns including Tanggou and Erba in Jiujiang District. The irrigation area is adjacent to the Wuwei embankment of the Yangtze River in the southeast, extends to the Xihe River in the west, and reaches the Yuxi River in the north. The total land area is 528 square kilometers, and the designed irrigation area is about 546000 acres, almost covering the entire area of the original Shangjiulianwei and Xiajiulianwei and some small irrigation areas of the Xihe River.

The project is a comprehensive water conservancy hub with an estimated total investment of approximately 3.8 billion yuan, of which the winning bid for survey and design fees is 63 million yuan. The construction content is pragmatic and diverse, including the construction and renovation of pump stations, the renovation and dredging of backbone channels, channel lining, the construction of new management roads and supporting buildings for the channel system, and the implementation of comprehensive river improvement. The core goal directly refers to the comprehensive improvement of regional irrigation and water supply, flood control and drainage, and water resource optimization and allocation capabilities.

The scope of this bidding covers the entire lifecycle of the project. From project proposal, feasibility study to construction drawing design, the winning bidder is required to simultaneously undertake the preparation of more than ten special reports, including land use pre-approval, resettlement, water conservation and environmental impact assessment, and be responsible for coordinating the review and construction site services at each stage to ensure seamless technical connection.
