The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting to review the comprehensive report on the work reports of the Party groups of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, as well as the work reports of the Central Secretariat. On January 30th, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting to review the comprehensive report on the work reports of the Party groups of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, as well as the work reports of the Central Secretariat. General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping presided over the meeting.  

The meeting fully affirmed the work of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People's Court, the Party Group of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and the Central Secretariat in 2025, and agreed to their work arrangements for 2026.   The Central Secretariat, under the leadership of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and its Standing Committee, conscientiously implements the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, actively fulfills its duties and responsibilities, and has done a lot of work in completing the tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee, strengthening the construction of internal laws and regulations, guiding and promoting mass league work, and rectifying formalism to reduce the burden on grassroots.  

The meeting stressed that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the beginning of the 15th Five Year Plan.   Adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, anchor the major strategic tasks of economic and social development during the 15th Five Year Plan period, and strive to achieve a good start. Strengthen the self construction of the Party group, conscientiously fulfill the main responsibility of comprehensively governing the Party strictly, and take the lead in establishing and practicing the correct view of political achievements. The Central Secretariat should focus on the deployment requirements of the Central Political Bureau and the Standing Committee of the Central Political Bureau, carry out key tasks based on its responsibilities, and complete various tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee with high quality.Editor/Bian Wenjun
