Kazakhstan is making every effort to upgrade its international logistics map. The country's national railway company (KTZ) has officially disclosed plans to build a regional and even global core air cargo hub, with the goal of becoming one of the top ten air cargo centers in the region. The related construction work has entered the stage of practical implementation.
According to the official announcement of Kazakhstan State Railways, its new cargo airline entity KTZ Air Cargo has completed company registration and the core construction work is steadily progressing. At present, enterprises are accelerating the establishment of dedicated mid to long distance freight fleets, comprehensively carrying out preliminary work such as route planning and operation preparation. In the future, they will focus on laying out mid to long distance air freight routes, vigorously expanding international transit transportation business, and opening up new channels for Eurasian air logistics.

It is worth noting that the cargo airline will adopt a fully market-oriented operation mode, relying on its own funds throughout the operation, without occupying Kazakhstan's national budget, demonstrating the country's firm determination to develop the logistics industry in a market-oriented manner.
Kazakhstan National Railway Company stated that the official launch of KTZ Air Cargo will directly enhance the stability and risk resistance of the international supply chain, consolidate the logistics foundation in the short term, drive the release of domestic commercial vitality in the long term, drive the development of upstream and downstream related industrial clusters, and further strengthen Kazakhstan's core attractiveness in the international logistics landscape.
In the construction of multimodal transport system, New Airlines will focus on aligning with the global trend of e-commerce development, focusing on the pain points of cross-border e-commerce logistics, and creating efficient and convenient "last mile" distribution solutions. With air freight as the link, it will connect the entire chain of logistics resources such as railways, highways, and warehouses, and stimulate new forms of logistics services.

This move will not only consolidate Kazakhstan's strategic position as a key logistics hub on the Eurasian Continental Bridge, but also promote the large-scale and normalized development of the country's cargo aviation industry, continuously improve cargo turnover, help it occupy a higher voice in the global air logistics system, and ultimately achieve the strategic goal of becoming one of the top ten air cargo centers in the region.
The dividends brought by the landing of industries will comprehensively cover: creating a large number of new job opportunities, steadily increasing national fiscal revenue, promoting the iterative upgrading of airport and warehousing infrastructure, driving the development of supporting industries such as aviation maintenance and digital logistics, while continuously attracting global capital to invest in Kazakhstan's transportation and logistics field, forming a virtuous cycle of industrial development.

Previously, LS News Agency had already disclosed plans to establish a cargo airline in Kazakhstan. Now, as the project enters the substantive operational preparation stage, the logistics landscape in Central Asia and even Eurasia is about to undergo new changes.Editor/Bian Wenjun
