Ashgabat News: The first batch of 25 Chinese citizens who were evacuated from Iran to Turkmenistan on the 3rd have all boarded the plane and departed for their home country in the early morning of the 4th.

On the evening of the 3rd, the evacuees arrived at Ashgabat International Airport in the capital of Turkmenistan, and the working group of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan assisted in checking in. Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan's interim charg é d'affaires, Zhong Hua, visited and comforted evacuees at the airport. Zhong Hua said, "The motherland will always be the strong backing of overseas Chinese citizens, and the party and government will always care about the safety of every overseas Chinese citizen. The embassy will always stay with Chinese compatriots to ensure their safety. I wish all compatriots a smooth and safe journey home!"

According to the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan, on the afternoon of the 3rd local time, this group of evacuees gradually entered the territory of Turkmenistan from the Sarahez port, and then took a bus arranged by the embassy to leave the port.

Chinese student Ma Hailong, who is studying in Iran, is among the evacuees. He said in a phone interview with Xinhua News Agency, "When we first learned about the outbreak of war, we were very scared, afraid that shells would fall on our heads. Fortunately, we quickly contacted the Chinese Embassy in Iran, and our hearts finally fell. As soon as we contacted the embassy, it was like being taken by adults at home when we were children, and we felt a special sense of security

Ma Hailong said that after entering the Salahes Port, the staff of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan have made various arrangements. The embassy staff worked tirelessly for us, working very hard. We feel very touched and warm

The Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan issued an information reminder in early March, sending a working group to the port for on-site office work as soon as possible to provide necessary assistance to Chinese citizens who enter Turkmenistan for transit and return home. The embassy stated that it will continue to make every effort to provide assistance to the Chinese personnel evacuating Iran and help compatriots return home smoothly.
