China and Uzbekistan held talks in Tashkent to explore deepening industrial cooperation and launching new joint projects in the chemical, textile, and oil and gas sectors. This news comes from the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
This discussion took place during the business forum held in Tashkent. Irzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with Li Jun, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province in China, and exchanged views on relevant issues. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of establishing a stable platform for direct communication between enterprises, in order to promote practical cooperation between the two countries' enterprises and achieve practical results.
At the same time, China and Uzbekistan jointly announced that the third China Uzbekistan Local Cooperation Forum will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province from May 21 to 25, 2026.
Both sides expressed during the meeting that the visit of the Shaanxi Provincial delegation during the critical period of forum preparation is of great significance, providing a good opportunity for both sides to coordinate the organization and arrangement of activities and discuss substantive forum agendas. Both sides also agreed to organize a delegation from Uzbekistan to visit Xi'an. After the meeting, both parties confirmed that they will maintain regular communication and coordination, and systematically prepare for the forum.
