At the age of 33, Mayadi holds an enviable job - as a staff member of the Mombasa Nairobi Railway in Kenya's Century Railway, she has shed sweat on this major artery of East Africa and also gained professional dignity and growth.

This confidence comes from her rich experience: she has studied in China, worked as a tour guide and Chinese translator. Her diverse cultural background and language advantages make her feel at ease in modern railway operations. From a former international student to a current railway backbone, professional skills and hard work have become her most solid baggage.

Whenever standing in a brand new station, Mayadi always thinks of the little girl from her childhood who looked up at the stars.
