In March 2026, a 122 kilometer long transportation artery is quietly gathering momentum between the mountains at the border of Jinhua and Quzhou in Zhejiang Province. With all the dust settled on the winning bidders for the six sections of civil construction, the major project of Jinhua Wucheng to Zhejiang Jiangxi border section of the Yongjin Quzhou Expressway, with a total investment of 29.3 billion yuan, is about to move from drawings to reality. From Tangxi Town in Wucheng District to the Zhejiang Jiangxi border in Jiangshan City, this fast track that crosses the central and western parts of Zhejiang will open up a new gateway from Zhejiang to Jiangxi in three years.

Dust settles in six sections

This civil construction project is divided into six sections from TJ01 to TJ06, with a total bid amount of approximately 8.839 billion yuan. Anhui Construction Investment Group won the bid for TJ01 section with 899 million yuan, Zhejiang Jiaotong Road and Bridge Construction won the bid for TJ02 section with 1.511 billion yuan, Zhejiang Jiaotong Hongtu Transportation Construction won the bid for TJ03 section with 1.826 billion yuan, Zhejiang Construction Investment Transportation Infrastructure Construction Group won the bid for TJ04 section with 836 million yuan, Zhejiang Jiaotong Group won the bid for TJ05 section with 2.257 billion yuan, and China Communications First Highway Engineering Group won the bid for TJ06 section with 1.209 billion yuan. The winning bidders for each section are all backbone forces in the field of domestic transportation construction.

The 100 kilometer expressway runs from east to west

The main line of the project starts from Wucheng District, Jinhua City, passes westward through Longyou County, Qujiang District, Kecheng District, and Jiangshan City of Quzhou City, and ends at the border between Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces. The total length of the route is 122.361 kilometers. The entire line is constructed according to the standard of a two-way six lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour from the starting point to the Shangyu Interchange and 100 kilometers per hour from the Shangyu Interchange to the endpoint. There are a total of 99 bridges, 12 tunnels, and 12 interchanges along the entire line, with a total length of approximately 9.9 kilometers for the simultaneous construction of 5 interchange connecting lines.
