On April 6, 2026, Chen Xiaojiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, and Erken Tunyazi, Chairman of the Autonomous Region, jointly met with Erjinrong Turzimov, Governor of the Syr Darya Oblast of Uzbekistan, and his delegation in Urumqi.

Chen Xiaojiang, on behalf of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Autonomous Region People's Government, warmly welcomes the visit of Governor Turzimov. He stated that the "15th Five Year Plan" outline approved by the recently concluded National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference has outlined a blueprint for China's future development and provided important certainty for world development. China and Ukraine are friendly neighbors and all-weather comprehensive strategic partners in the new era. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral relations and cooperation continue to deepen.   Xinjiang and Uzbekistan have a solid foundation, strong complementarity, and broad prospects for local cooperation. The two sides have achieved positive results in cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, agriculture, and healthcare. Xinjiang is willing to further join hands with Ukraine, fully tap into the potential and advantages of both sides, deepen exchanges and cooperation in fields such as agricultural modernization, economic and trade investment, and professional talents, and jointly contribute to the construction of a China Ukraine community with a shared future.

Turzimov thanks Xinjiang for its warm reception. He stated that the relationship between Ukraine and China continues to develop healthily, and cooperation in various fields continues to expand. Xilingol Prefecture is rich in resources and has broad investment prospects. Xinjiang enterprises are welcome to invest and share development opportunities. We are willing to further strengthen friendly relations with Xinjiang under the guidance of the consensus of the two heads of state, with a focus on strengthening practical cooperation in agricultural product processing, seed cultivation, chemical industry, water-saving irrigation and other fields, promoting cooperation between the two sides to a new level, and assisting the development of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Ukraine and China.
