The Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center stated that Guangzhou, China has created vast development opportunities for Russian enterprises to export high-quality agricultural products. With the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the center plans to organize a business inspection of Russian export enterprises in Guangzhou from June 24th to 26th, 2026.

This event is expected to involve nearly 100 mainstream Russian agricultural producers and exporters. The center stated that Guangzhou, as one of the four first tier cities in China with a permanent population of 19 million and a growing middle class, has become a major consumer and trade hub in southern China, with strong market demand for imported food.

The Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center pointed out that relying on rich food culture and vibrant food markets, Guangzhou provides ample development space for Russian enterprises to supply high-quality products such as dairy products and seafood. At the same time, the center also mentioned that with the help of world-class ports, modern cold chain logistics and other well-established infrastructure, Guangzhou remains an indispensable key transportation hub in global agricultural trade. By 2025, Guangdong Province will import 222000 tons of agricultural products from Russia, with a total import and export value of nearly 400 million US dollars. Among them, the top five imported categories are chicken feet, pig by-products, frozen pork, chicken wings, and beef. In the same year, Guangdong Province also imported rapeseed oil, soybean oil, sunflower seed oil, turkey, Mingtai fish, tomato sauce, and other finished products from Russia.
