On September 14, 2020, in order to improve the quality of urban transportation, improve travel conditions, and increase the scope of economic radiation, Hefei Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. issued an announcement that 8 construction companies jointly won Hefei Rail Transit Line 2 and 3 Extension cord project.

The east extension of Line 2 starts at Sanshibu Station (not included), travels along Changjiang East Road-Taizishan Road-Sidingshan Road, south to Quanxiang Road Station, Xinshi Town, south of Feidong. The civil engineering scope of this bidding is: Xiapaihe Road Station, Yunxiao Road Station, Ruici Road Station, Zhanqian Road Station, Xianxia Road Station, Qingnian Road Station, Yungu Road Station, Guanyi Road Station~Xiapaihe Road station interval (shield section and shield well), Xiapaihe Road Station~Yunxiao Road Station interval, Yunxiao Road Station~Ruici Road Station interval, Ruici Road Station~Zhanqian Road Station interval, Zhanqian Road Station~ Xianxia Road Station, Xianxia Road Station-Qingnian Road Station, Qingnian Road Station-Yungu Road Station (including the middle air shaft), Yungu Road Station-Xingfuba Station, Shenzhen Road Parking Lot Access Line (Sanhe Road-Xiapaihe Road station section), including 7 stations, 8 sections and access lines (Sanhe Road-Xiapaihe Road station section).

The project is divided into 4 bidding sections, with a total investment of about 5.5 billion yuan, and 8 construction companies have jointly won the bid. The consortium of China Railway Fifth Bureau and Anhui Provincial Communications Construction Co., Ltd. won 1.65 billion yuan; the consortium of China Railway Tenth Bureau and Anhui Sijian Holding Group won two bids for 1.496 billion yuan; China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau and Hefei Qincheng Construction Project The limited liability company jointly won 3 bids for 915 million yuan; Hongrun Construction Group and Anhui Provincial Highway and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. combined 1.427 billion won for 4 bids.
