On October 14, 2020, China Railways issued an announcement that China Railways and local powerful enterprises in Xinjiang won two road projects with a total investment of about 13 billion yuan. Details are as follows:

Highway G577 from Jinghe to Yining County

The project route starts from the southwest side of Shashanzi, Jinghe County, connects with Lianhuo Expressway (G30 K495+850) and S208, and sets up the 83rd group interchange, and ends at DK90+613 and G578 on the south side of Subutai Township, setting Subu The route is 91.113km long. The whole line is constructed according to the standard of two-way four-lane first-class highway, with a design speed of 100km/h and a roadbed width of 26.0m.

There are a total of 5,422m/2 extra-long bridges, 14,572m/41 bridges, 689m/11 small and medium-sized bridges, 16,000m/2 extra-long tunnels, 1,300m/1 long tunnels, and 2925m/4 medium tunnels. There are 9 short tunnels of 2410 meters. Bridges and tunnels on the whole line account for 47.54% of the total length of the route; 4 interchanges are proposed (1 reserved).

G577 Turks to Zhaosu Highway

The project is located in Tekes County and Zhaosu County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang. The starting point of the route is on the southwest side of the Tekes line, and it connects with the completed dry field to Tekes section of the G577 line. The route ends on the south side of Zhaosu County and is opposite to S237. Pick up. The design adopts the first-class highway standard, the subgrade width is 24.5m, and the design speed is 80km/h. The airport connecting line adopts the secondary highway standard, with a design speed of 80km/h and a roadbed width of 12.0m.

The total length of the route (including connecting lines) is 68.169km, of which the main line is 62.865km in length and the airport connecting line is 5.304km. The main line is equipped with 157.2 meters/one bridge (including ramp bridges), 710.6 meters/17 medium and small bridges, 151 culverts, 1 toll station, 1 service area, 1 maintenance work area (combined installation), and 1 interchange. The airport connecting line is equipped with small bridges of 19.4 m meters and 10 culverts.

The total length of the two highway projects is about 159km, with China Railway Urban Development Investment Group as the lead unit, in conjunction with Xinjiang Communications Construction Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., China Railway First Bureau, China Railway Second Bureau, China Railway Third Bureau, China Railway Nine Bureau, China Railway Construction Engineering Group, China Railway Engineering Design Consulting Group, China Railway Sixth Survey and Design Institute Group, Xinjiang Road and Bridge Construction Group, Xinjiang Highway Construction Group and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Transportation Planning Survey and Design Institute won the bid.
