Recently, HEI and Pakistan Punjab Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (PTPL) signed a long-term operation and maintenance contract for Pakistan Kyrgyzstan Airlines (JHANG) 1263MW combined cycle power plant project in Lahore.

The main engine of this project is Siemens 8000H gas turbine. The operation and maintenance contract mainly includes: 12-year operation and maintenance of the unit, major equipment overhaul, plant-wide BOP equipment overhaul, and power plant spare parts procurement. This project is the second long-term operation and maintenance contract for the H-class combined cycle power station successfully signed by HEI in the Pakistani market following the long-term operation and maintenance contract for Bikki's 1180MW combined cycle power station. By then, HEI will have both GE's 9H combined cycle power plant and Siemens' 8000H combined cycle power plant operation and maintenance experience, and will become the contractor with the largest market share in the field of power plant operation and maintenance services in Pakistan. The successful signing of the project further enhanced HEI’s influence in the international operation and maintenance market.
