At the site of two 350-megawatt coal-fired power plants in Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s largest installed capacity power generation project undertaken by the Southwest Research Institute of Energy Construction, Anhui Power Construction No. 1 Company, there was a Cambodian female translator who performed her duties and worked diligently. She is thin and small, but conveys warmth and strength to the people around her. She is the "smiling angel" of the project department-Yang Jinsha.

Build a bridge for communication between Chinese and Cambodian employees

In 2019, Yang Jinsha came to China as an exchange student at Phnom Penh Student Development University in Cambodia. After going to Beijing, Tianjin and Hangzhou, she was deeply attracted by the charm of Chinese culture. After returning to China, I learned that the China-Cambodia Community of Destiny Action Plan undertaken by Anhui Power Construction No. 1 Company and the key project to promote the connection between the Belt and Road Initiative and Cambodia’s "Four Corners Strategy"-Cambodia Sihanoukville 2×350 MW Coal-fired Power Plant Project Recruiting translators, Yang Jinsha signed up for the job, and was used in the project catalogue with excellent results.

From then on, she was like a seed, planted in the Sihanoukville port project in Cambodia, bringing optimism and cheerfulness to the project staff, and reaping everyone's recognition and love with sincerity. The materials in the construction industry have a lot of professional and jerky vocabulary. One of Yang Jinsha's daily work is to translate stacks of Khmer materials into Chinese.

When I first arrived at the project, I didn’t know much about the construction of electric power projects. I often spent a lot of time and energy comparing Chinese and Cambodian languages and searching for materials when translating. When encountering problems that she does not understand, she often asks the project staff for advice in an open mind to ensure that the translation is correct. Gradually, through her own efforts and the help of everyone, Yang Jinsha's translation of materials has become faster and more accurate, and her translation level and spoken Chinese have improved properly.

In the skill training of the project organization, she gave full play to her professional advantages, was recognized by the owner and was awarded the title of "Quality Advanced Individual".

"Every time she asks for a Jinsha translator, she always agrees. The translated materials are timely and accurate, which is very helpful to the work." Everyone praised. Here, I feel the warmth and care of my family. My translation level has improved a lot. Thank you for your help. ."

Actively respond to the new crown epidemic

In the second half of 2020, Cambodia's epidemic situation is gradually severe, and Cambodian workers have experienced psychological fluctuations and demanded to leave the scene. While the project department must ensure the progress of the project, it must comfort the on-site workers. Seeing this situation, Yang Jinsha actively promoted anti-epidemic knowledge to Cambodian workers and taught them how to scientifically prevent the epidemic.

Thanks to her efforts, Cambodian workers have gradually changed their minds, mastered the knowledge of protection, jointly fought the epidemic, stayed on the front line, and ensured the orderly progress of the project.

At every stand-up meeting, Yang Jinsha will come to the scene to interpret. During the safety experience in the project department, she taught Cambodian workers how to use safety belts and introduced safe electricity knowledge and precautions.

Harvesting a transnational relationship

In the project, Yang Jinsha not only gained knowledge and growth, but also gained a wonderful love. "I first noticed Jinsha at the National Day party organized by the project department." Xia Dagang said, "At that time, she was a little shy and shy after joining the company, but her smile attracted me deeply. I took the initiative to add her to WeChat. "Later, the two people gradually narrowed the distance because of the many work interactions.

After the contact time was long, she found that under Xia Dagang's simple appearance, she was a person who was serious and responsible for her work and caring for her colleagues. She gradually developed a good impression. On weekdays, the two fell in a low-key relationship, but it was discovered by everyone. The two also generously admitted that a transnational love affair was announced to the public.

Optimistic, motivated, and responsible, this is Yang Jinsha. She connected the friendship between Chinese and Cambodian employees with a smile, and served the Sihanoukville power station project construction with a serious attitude and professional spirit.
