The last control node project of Huaneng Paimo Highway, the Laohuzui Tunnel, was successfully completed, 228 days ahead of the original schedule, marking the full connection of Paimo Highway, which has been under construction for nearly 7 years. The Huaneng Paimo Highway has a total length of 67.22 kilometers. It starts from Pai Town, Milin County, Tibet. It uses an extra-long tunnel to cross the Doxiongla Snow Mountain and stretches along the Doxiong River at Songlinkou. It passes through Khanmi and Laohuzui and arrives at Medog County. The township is constructed in four stages. The climate along the highway is changeable. Natural disasters such as avalanches, landslides, heavy rainfall, and mudslides occur frequently, leeches and poisonous insects are rampant, the construction environment is harsh, and the construction difficulty is far more difficult than in plains.
